America’s Best Kitchens List For 2003 Announced
(ContentDesk) December 31 2003--America has long been known as the melting pot of the world. It's a place where cultures collide to create entirely new traditions of living, interacting, celebrating and most notably – cooking. "If there's one room in every home that represents the spirit of the melting pot it's the kitchen. A woman of Hispanic, African, French or Asian descent marries a man of Anglo, Scandinavian or Middle Eastern descent. Both bring with them the tastes of their upbringing.

The result is a blend of cultures occurring in a single dish." So say's Cathy Leslie founder of America's Best Kitchens and creator of the America's Best Kitchens CD Collection."Over the years I've received more than three million recipes from every day American men and women. These folks don't operate fancy restaurants. They don't have their own TV Show. The people for whom they prepare their meals are more important to them than customers or viewers, they're family and friends."Leslie, along with her partners, have culled through the over 3 million recipes received to compile a CD that contains 100 of the best recipes from each of the 50 states plus the District of Columbia.

"We call it the America's Best Kitchens Collection.

It contains 5100 recipe's submitted by moms and dads, aunts and uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers throughout America."The Best Kitchens List for 2003 contains an even more abbreviated sampling of 20 recipes from kitchens representing (list states). "We recognize the brilliance of the Emeril's of the world who've combine culinary craftsmanship with celebrity. At the same time some recognition is due the everyday cook, the millions of moms and dads, who perform their magic in the kitchen out of love for their families. Each one of them has at least one dish of which they are especially proud. We invite them to send it to us so that we might include there's among the list of America's Best Kitchens."Persons interested in viewing the winning recipes and the names of their creators or who would like to submit a recipe of their own can visit www.AmericasBestKitchens.com.For more information or to arrange an interview with Cathy Leslie please call or email Paul Spreadbury at 850 475 0477.
